My
current body of work is an exploration that combines a metaphorical reference
to human and animal characteristics and the fantasy of transforming into
something more. I see my work as a narrative. I intend for my work to
incorporate individual tales about a single protagonist morphing and mutating
to revolutionise beyond human recognition. This is born out of a desire on the
part of the protagonist to be stronger, faster and to have the ability to fly
or simply to achieve what my character believes to be beautiful. The work often
reflects my own desires. They are desires I wish to over-emphasize or
exaggerate in the work. The process of creating the work aids me in my continual
quest for self-discovery.
